The Battle River Local #32 acknowledges that where we are today is within the boundaries of Treaty 6 which was first signed in 1876. Treaty 6 is a vast area covering large portions of central Alberta and Saskatchewan and encompasses the reserve lands of 18 First Nations' Bands and Metis. The traditional wisdom of these first people provides a rich heritage for our work as educators.

Rally for Public Education
On Saturday, October 22nd, at 1:00 pm join us at the Alberta Legislature for the Stand for Public Education Rally.
All children deserve a healthy and safe school environment, small class sizes, and the resources to help them reach their full potential. Public education can—and should—be able to provide all of the above. By rallying together, we’re sending a strong message to decision makers: We will not stop fighting for a better public education system in Alberta.
