Land Acknowledgement

The Battle River Local #32 acknowledges that where we are today is within the boundaries of Treaty 6 which was first signed in 1876. Treaty 6 is a vast area covering large portions of central Alberta and Saskatchewan and encompasses the reserve lands of 18 First Nations' Bands and Metis. The traditional wisdom of these first people provides a rich heritage for our work as educators.

Important News!

As preparations continue for the next round of negotiations, it is critically important that we hear from teachers about their needs and priorities for bargaining.

If you have not already done so, please take 20–25 minutes to complete the 2024 Bargaining Needs Survey and share your important thoughts. All teachers, including administrators and substitute teachers are strongly urged to complete the survey by Friday.

If you have completed the survey, thank you. Please encourage all of your colleagues to do the same.

The survey closes this Friday, March 1 at 4:30 PM.

Thanks for your engagement and support.
